What We Collect

When you use DreamBot, we collect:

• Account info: Email address, username, and profile picture. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name and email from those services.
• Your vibe profile: Aesthetics, art styles, interests, mood sliders, and personal anchors you set during onboarding. This data is used to personalize your AI-generated dreams.
• Content you create: AI-generated dream images, photos you upload for reimagining, captions, and comments.
• Dream Cast photos: If you use Dream Cast, the photos you upload of yourself (and an optional "plus one") so we can place your likeness into generated dreams. These photos are processed by our AI providers and stored with your account until you remove them or delete your account.
• Your activity: Likes, comments, follows, friend connections, dream wishes, and shares.
• Device info: Push notification tokens so we can send you notifications. We do not track your location.
• Usage & diagnostics: How you use the app — screens you visit, time spent, features you tap, and actions like creating or sharing dreams — plus crash and error reports. This is first-party product analytics that helps us see what's working and fix problems. It is never sold or used for advertising.
• Purchases: Sparkle and DreamBot Pro purchases are processed through Apple via RevenueCat. We receive transaction confirmation but never see your payment details.

How We Use Your Data

• To generate personalized AI dream art based on your vibe profile
• To show you a personalized feed of dreams from other users
• To display your posted dreams to other users
• To enable social features — likes, comments, sharing, and friend connections
• To send push notifications about comments, likes, new dreams, and friend activity
• To moderate content for safety using automated systems
• To understand how the app is used and to find and fix bugs (product analytics & crash reporting)

AI-Generated Content

DreamBot uses third-party AI models — Replicate (image generation and face-swap) and Anthropic (creative prompts), plus a vision model that describes photos you upload — to create your dreams. Your vibe data, Dream Cast face photos, and any photos you upload for reimagining are sent to these services for processing. Generated images are stored and associated with your account.

Content Moderation

AI image generation runs through providers with built-in safety filters that block explicit content. User-submitted text — usernames, captions, comments, and prompts — is screened by an automated word filter. You can report any post, comment, or user for review, and block users. Content that violates our policies is removed.

Where Your Data Lives

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Images are stored in Supabase Storage. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

To improve DreamBot, we use first-party product analytics (PostHog) to understand how the app is used — which screens are visited, which features are used, and where people run into friction — and crash/error reporting (Sentry) to detect and fix bugs. This data is associated with your account so we can analyze trends, but it is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to track you across other apps or websites. Because we don't track you for advertising, DreamBot does not show Apple's "Ask App Not to Track" prompt.

Your Rights

• Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings in the app. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Private dreams: You can keep dreams private — only you can see them unless you choose to post.
• Block users: You can block any user. Blocked users cannot see your content.
• Report content: You can report posts, comments, or users for review.

Children

DreamBot is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify users of significant changes through the app.
